We feel greedy when our desire for more resources, status, or rewards outpace our need for those things.

Greed pushes us to seek more and more, especially in moments of scarcity. It pushes us to be strategic in our hoarding. Greed can stem from wanting to be safe in the future, but it comes at a large price, socially.
